Faculty facilitate student learning and initiate and participate in efforts to consistently improve the level of student success. As learning facilitators, faculty consistently assess learning outcomes and their own teaching effectiveness.

This position reports to the Dean, School of Health.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Deliver curriculum, monitor, and make recommendations as appropriate to maintain course effectiveness; assist in program evaluation.
  2. Effective management of the classroom and/or laboratory.
  3. Promote and engage in student recruitment, retention and completion goals fostering a culture of professionalism and inclusive learning.
  4. Monitor and assess student learning outcomes and provide timely and frequent feedback to students on academic performance.
  5. Participate in advisory and/or institutional committees.
  6. Maintain certification, continue professional development and stay current in field and/or discipline.
INSTRUCTION PROGRAM SPECIFIC
  • Develop relationships with business and industry.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THE POSITION

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Nursing
  • At least two years (4,000 hours) of experience working as a Registered Nurse;of which at least one year must be in the provision of long term care
  • Licensed as an RN in the State of Wisconsin (WI State Board of Nursing requirement)
Additional Qualifications:

  • Included in the above experience, candidate must have at least 2 years (4,000 hours) of demonstrated relevant occupational experience of which 1 year (2,000 hours) is within the last five years
OR
  • At least 1 years (2,000 hours) of demonstrated relevant occupational experience AND 2 years (4 semesters) of full-time (8 semesters of part-time) post secondary teaching experience within the last five years

  • Ability to work in a fast pace agile environment.
  • Ability to work with a diverse workforce and student population
  • Ability to use student learning management systems
  • Culturally competent, including strong emotional intelligence and the ability to engage and build relationships with constituents and underrepresented communities.
