We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our team! In this position one will assist the Association's business development efforts, by building relationships with current and prospective customers through marketing communications and digital outreach strategies. This includes written, audio, video, and graphic design content created to engage our customers and community to educate and share about OlyFed's products, services, values, initiatives, culture, and philanthropic investments. This is an in-office position at our Main Office in Downtown Olympia.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate on design, maintenance, and content for the Association's website and social media. Lead content planning and written messaging.
  • Develop monthly editorial calendar for social media channels and engaging content to enhance community connections.
  • Craft and develop written communications for OlyFed owned media channels, public affairs initiatives, and projects including op-eds, speeches, executive communications, and more.
  • Develop messaging strategy for digital marketing initiatives including customer email campaigns, in-branch broadcast screens, online banking advertising, texting initiatives, video content, and podcast production.
  • Analyze and evaluate industry trends, competitive environment and new product features, functionality, and application to improve customer experience and product quality.
  • Support responses to online customer reviews and community mentions.
  • Evaluate, strategize, and implement new digital branch features and benefits.
  • Assist digital branch team with tools, resources, and collateral to enhance customer experience for acquisition and retention purposes.
  • Produce content and resources for OlyFed associates to share through their professional social accounts to build partner referral networks.
  • Write, edit, and proofread projects.
  • Represent the Association at community events.
  • Photography assistance at OlyFed events and for Association's digital and print collateral needs.
  • Manage multiple projects within timeframes and budget. With outside vendors as needed.
  • Promote Marketing and Association initiatives, maintain and stay abreast of regulatory compliance responsibilities, including policies and programs.
  • Backup administrative support for the department as needed. And other duties as assigned.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent public and customer relations skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, determine needs and maintain confidence.
  • Proficiency with website content management systems, social media platforms, email marketing platforms, podcast production tools, graphic design programs, video editing software, and MS. Mac experience helpful with the ability to learn new software.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including the ability to clearly communicate and coordinate group projects and events.
  • Work independently with little supervision. Flexibility to work outside office hours.
  • Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail.
  • Organizational skills and composure. Flexibility and adaptability to prioritize a fluctuating workload in a customer-driven environment.
  • Exercise customer confidentiality and discretionary judgment.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English well.
  • Maintain knowledge of Association products, services, profit drivers, business goals, and applicable Association Policies and Federal Regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and training is preferred.
  • Previous marketing, public relations, and/or graphic design experience preferred.
  • At least two years' experience in the financial industry or a related field preferred.
  • Must be bondable.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS:

Duties are performed in usual office conditions. Ability to operate standard office equipment including personal computer, standard keyboard, 10-key calculator and work a standard shift with repetitive wrist and hand movements. Ability to talk and hear. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time. Occasionally lift, move, or carry items up to 15 lbs. Ability to concentrate on the matter at hand, under sometimes distracting work conditions. Requires manual dexterity and handling ability. Use hands and arms to finger, handle, grab and reach. Specific vision abilities including close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Work may involve eyestrain due to constant use of computer screens. Occasional walking, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and bending. Ability to be mobile office-wide for various business needs.

Employees are covered by medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance and long-term disability. Voluntary benefit coverage includes life insurance, AD&D, legal, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and FSA. Options for family coverage are available. Employees can enroll in our company's 401k plan. We offer immediately vested 5% 401k match, as well as profit sharing. Employees are eligible for annual incentive bonus. Full-time employees will receive the following paid time off per month: 6.67 hours of vacation leave and 8 hours of sick leave. In addition, the following paid time off per year: 11 paid holidays, a float holiday, a birthday holiday, 24 wellness hours, 16 volunteer hours. Modified for part-time employees.
