Description

Your Role:

Responsible for managing the purchasing and buyer/planner functions covering both direct and indirect spend operations in North America. The purchasing department supports multiple sites and business units in North America as part of global Miltenyi Biotec.

Essential Duites and Responsibilities:



  • Supervise and develop team, that is also supporting multi-site GMP manufacturing.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors in order to minimize risks and optimize spending.
  • Support purchasing activities across multiple sites in North America identifying opportunities for additional services or efficiency gains by harmonizing services.
  • Work with suppliers, manufacturers and internal departments on fulfilment strategies balancing costs, risks, and internal needs.
  • Act as subject matter expert in corporate initiatives relating to purchasing.
  • Identify and develop relevant KPI's for the department while providing regular reporting and continuous improvement on said KPI's.
  • Develop relevant procedures and guidelines in line with corporate guidance so that there is full transparency and control of purchasing activities.
  • Be able to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization.
  • Be able to effectively support pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Assure relevant quality GMP and finance requirements are met.

  • Domestic Travel Requirements - 10%



  • International Travel Requirements - less than 5%




Requirements:



  • BA/BS degree in business or pharma related field with 3 years in leadership role; 5 years of experience with ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred).


Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:



  • Hands-on experience using ERP systems (SAP preferred) for purchasing.
  • Able to communicate clearly with team members, suppliers, and crossfunctional partners across different locations.
  • Proven ability to lead a team through changes in process, systems, or priorities.
  • Strong timemanagement skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities.

The hiring range for this position is expected to fall between $119,973 - $141,085 /year, reflecting the range candidates can reasonably expect to be considered for at time of offer, based on factors such as experience, internal equity, and qualifications.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of considerations, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialization, skills, abilities, and training. The above range represents the Company's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting.

In addition to your salary, the Company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, and dental insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements. Certain positions may also be eligible for additional compensation such as bonuses or commissions.
