The mission of the Engineering and Physics department at Johns Hopkins is to provide support to the Radiology and Radiological Science departments on the main campus and outpatient centers.



As an Imaging Equipment Engineer II, you will:



  • Perform installation, de-installation and maintenance of imaging equipment
  • Troubleshoot problems and identify solutions
  • Mentor and precept Level 1 technicians
  • Serve as a resource to Johns Hopkins Health System Employees

Minimum Qualifications:



  • A professional level of knowledge in engineering and preferably radiology imaging equipment in order that such equipment be maintained and operational in accordance with established safety and performance standards
  • Associate's degree in Engineering or Biomedical Equipment Technology
  • Two (2) years of military training in clinical equipment or vocational training in electronics may substitute for degree requirement
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record for off-site service calls
  • Qualify as a candidate for certification as a CRES by AAMI (Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation) preferred
  • Three (3) years of experience as an Imaging Engineer, preferably in a healthcare setting



Shift:

Full Time (40 hours)

Day Shift

8:00am-5:30pm

Monday - Friday

Salary Range: Minimum 28.90/hour - Maximum 47.71/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
