SS&C Intralinks is searching for a Platform Engineering Intern/Co-op, to be a part of the Core Platform Engineering Team in R&D's group.

What You Will Get To Do:

• Work closely with the Platform Engineering team as we reimagine the world class security, encryption and data protection.

• Collaborate with senior engineers to design, build, and enhance core platform services.

• Work on the integration and deployment of new storage solutions and encryption mechanisms.

• Assist in developing scalable data protection features and protocols to ensure data integrity and privacy.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of new features and system improvements.

• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving platform issues across multiple applications.

• Automate tasks and processes to improve the efficiency of platform operations.

• Learn and work on designing systems with a focus on security, performance, and scalability.

Projects:

Storage Optimization: Work on implementing and improving storage systems that handle large volumes of data, ensuring speed, security, and reliability.

Data Encryption: Contribute to enhancing the security of the platform by working on encryption techniques for data in transit and at rest.

Platform Monitoring: Assist in developing monitoring systems to ensure platform health, performance, and reliability for mission-critical applications.

Automation and CI/CD: Improve development pipelines and automate repetitive tasks, ensuring faster and more efficient deployments for the platform.

Cross-application Integration: Collaborate on platform services that support multiple applications, enhancing their scalability and interconnectivity.

What You Will Bring:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• A strong desire to work with cutting-edge technologies and systems.

• Problem-solving skills and a keen interest in platform engineering, infrastructure, and cloud systems.

• A willingness to learn and contribute to the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance systems.

• Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Curiosity, creativity, and a solid work ethic

Following skillsets with proven hands-on experiences are preferable

More is better, but not all are mandatory.

• Java / JavaScript / Go / Python: Proficiency in one or more of these languages and experience in building real-world applications.

• Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Storage Solutions: Knowledge of data storage technologies (e.g., databases, distributed storage systems).

• Security: Understanding of encryption techniques, data protection, and securing infrastructure.

• Automation & DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and scripting.

• Version Control Systems: Proficiency with Git for managing code and collaboration.

Requirements:

- Minimum GPA of 3.0

- Must be actively in school following at the end of the co-op period.

- prefer students who have completed their degree up to at least their sophomore year
