IT Project Manager Intern

The Intern Project Manager supports the Project Management Office (PMO) in driving consistency, visibility, and governance across IT initiatives. This role provides hands-on exposure to enterprise project management practices, portfolio reporting, and standardized delivery methods. The intern partners with PMs, program managers, and business stakeholders to ensure projects align with PMO standards and organizational priorities.

Support PMO-managed IT projects across planning, execution, and closeout phases
• Assist in maintaining standardized PMO artifacts (project charters, schedules, RAID logs, status reports)
• Track project milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, and dependencies
• Prepare weekly and monthly portfolio dashboards and executive-level status reports
• Support governance processes such as stage gates, approvals, and change control
• Facilitate meeting logistics, notes, and action item tracking
• Ensure projects adhere to PMO methodology, templates, and best practices
• Assist with project intake, prioritization, and portfolio tracking
• Identify process improvement opportunities within PMO workflows

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Business, Project Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework or exposure to project management, PMO, or IT delivery
• Interest in PMO governance, metrics, and reporting
