The ideal candidate will be based in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area and operate in a flexible hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Transformation (PE-Backed, Acquisition-Focused Environment)

Lead the design and execution of multi-year transformation initiatives in a high-growth, private equity-backed environment, with a strong focus on acquisition integration and operational scalability.
  • Drive post-acquisition integration efforts-aligning processes, systems, and reporting across a portfolio of businesses with varying levels of maturity.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve margin, labor productivity, asset utilization, and customer delivery across field service, shop operations, and corporate functions.
  • Build and manage business cases with clear success metrics, synergy targets, and ROI tracking tied to both transformation and integration initiatives.
  • Act as a strategic partner to executive leadership on building scalable, practical operating models that support continued growth.

Financial & Commercial Impact

  • Partner closely with Finance to improve job-level cost visibility, labor utilization, and margin performance across both legacy and newly acquired businesses.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Commercial teams to drive consistency in pricing, billing practices, and contract structures.
  • Support forecasting accuracy, backlog visibility, and revenue recognition, while identifying and addressing revenue leakage.
  • Lead post-project and post-acquisition financial reviews to reinforce accountability and continuous improvement.

Change Management & Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives across Operations, Finance, IT, and Commercial teams-operating effectively in a decentralized, fast-moving environment.
  • Drive change management strategies that support system adoption, process standardization, and cultural alignment across diverse teams.
  • Build transformation capability within the business by coaching leaders and developing practical, repeatable processes.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, adaptability, and data-driven decision-making.

Data, Technology & Enablement

  • Partner with IT and Finance to integrate a mix of internally developed and third-party systems, including ERP, job costing, workforce management, and reporting tools.
  • Operate effectively in an environment without fully standardized or "off-the-shelf" solutions-leveraging data to drive decisions while improving system maturity over time.
  • Help evolve and scale internally built technology platforms to better support operational and financial performance.
  • Ensure technology investments are pragmatic, business-driven, and deliver measurable value across the organization.

Profile We're Targeting

  • Experience in mid-market, high-growth, or private equity-backed environments with active acquisition integration.
  • Comfortable operating in environments that are not fully built out-able to create structure where it doesn't exist.
  • Hands-on, pragmatic leader who can bridge Operations, Finance, and Technology.
  • Background in companies with a mix of legacy systems, internally developed tools, and evolving infrastructure (vs. highly standardized Tier 1 environments).
