We are seeking a Fleet Vehicle Diesel Mechanic for our APEX division at our Deer Park, Tx facility. Are you energetic, highly motivated, and well organized, a self-starter with a strong commitment to safety? Are you a strong teammate with the ability to work well with fellow mechanics / drivers / operations personnel? If this describes you, then we want you on our TEAM!

Air Products Express Services is a 24/7 365 day a year services group specializing in temporary supply of Nitrogen and Hydrogen. The APEX Vehicle mechanic will work with the Deer Park lead mechanic and is responsible for the maintenance of company owned tractors, tanker trailers and pumpers.

The primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs as necessary on nitrogen pumpers, trailers, and tractors.

  • Document/record work performed electronically on the computer

  • Perform cryogenic pump maintenance

  • Perform electrical troubleshooting on 12-volt DC circuits

  • Minor welding and fabricating as required

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/equivalent

  • Class A CDL preferred, but not required

  • Strong mechanical background, with above average computer experience/skills

  • Physical requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, stand, kneel, bend for long periods

  • Energetic, highly motivated and well organized, self-starter with strong commitment to safety

  • Strong team player with ability to work well with fellow mechanics/drivers/operations personnel

  • Solid work history

  • Welding knowledge and experience

  • Diesel engine troubleshooting and repair experience

  • Hydraulics and pump experience a plus

  • Solid work history

  • This is a safety sensitive position
