Security Officer - Airport Distribution Center Patrol

As a Security Officer - Airport Distribution Center Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access awareness, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, loading and unloading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information as required, and assist with traffic flow involving deliveries, trailers, and employee vehicles.
• Support loss prevention and inventory protection efforts by observing shipping, receiving, and dock operations for irregular activity and reporting issues according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A current CPR certification is preferred.
• A current guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
