Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior ReliabilityTechnician to assist with the qualification process of semiconductor products in our Colorado Springs lab. This position is an individual contributor role working in conjunction with Reliability Engineers and other Microchip engineering groups to support our internal customers. The candidate must possess good communication skills, high attention to detail, a quality mindset, and an ability to multi-task in an accountable and self-directed manner as needed.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must have 7-9 years of technical experience in a reliability lab or related area of expertise such as electrical, engineering, laboratory, machining, quality, and/or science.

  • Able to follow both engineering instruction / guideline and specification requirements to work in a team and independently.

  • Must have high attention to detail, a focus on quality, and ability to multi-task in motivated, self-directed, and interactive manner.

  • Ability to communicate with engineering and support / customer groups, both requesting and reporting information regarding planning and execution of qualification stresses to meet scheduled release dates.

  • Ability to read and understand reports, qual plans, internal specifications, and external industry standards.

  • Ability to learn how to maintain equipment as needed, load stress boards and equipment, complete necessary paperwork forms, coordinate with product / support groups for test and stress submissions.

  • Able to assist with monitoring and maintaining stresses, environmental chambers, and qualification support equipment as needed.

  • Expected to participate in lab up-keep, periodic auditing, training, continuous improvement projects, and team meetings.

  • Experience with soldering, board assembly, failure analysis, reading schematics, programming, machining, or running test equipment is beneficial.

  • Lab skills with assorted test/measurement equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, power supply, source meter, function generator, network analyzer, etc.) are valued.

  • Able to sit, stand, bend and lift. Willing to perform high-quality repetitive movement such as checking and loading/unloading boards.

  • Must be able to lift 10 lbs and push/pull 20 lbs.

  • Perform other job-related functions as requested by the manager.

The hourly pay range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $24.52 - $53.85.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
