Job Summary

ThePatient Account Analystprocesses payments tofacilitateeven cash flow for the organization.

Responsibilities And Scope

• Promptly and accuratelyprocessespayments tofacilitateeven cash flow for the organization.

• Reviews all accounts on the assignedportionofAccounts Receivablevia the Aged Trial Balance and batches.

• Appropriately posts or refunds accounts to bring accounts to azero-balancestatus.

• Resolves minor problems, answers questions, and uses good judgment toinsurethat patient care is not compromised.

• Proactively responds to problemsrelativeto system procedure errors,i.e.coding, registration, charging, posting, authorization issues.

• Reviews and analyzes daily/weekly monthly reports to ensuretimelyfiling.

• Audits payments, allowances, rejected claims toidentifyand resolve claims/EOP/EOB revenue cycle issues.

Qualifications

Required

• Associate'sdegree orequivalentcombination of education and experience.

• Experience working in a healthcare or finance/accounting office.
  Proficient written and verbal communication.

Preferred

• Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-9/ICD-10 coding.

• Experience working in or with an Electronic Medical Recordkeeping (EMR) system such as EPIC.

• Experience and/or education/training in medical terminology.
