Learn more at www.dminc.com About the Opportunity DMI, LLC is seeking a Database Administrator 3 as a senior-level practitioner responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and lifecycle management of TSA's enterprise database environments. Duties and Responsibilities: This individual manages database platforms supporting mission-critical applications across on-premises data centers and cloud-hosted environments, ensuring high availability, data integrity, and compliance with DHS and TSA data governance policies. The DBA 3 works closely with application developers, infrastructure engineers, and the O&M contractor to support the integration, migration, and modernization of TSA database systems as part of the broader TALON engineering portfolio. This role encompasses database architecture design, performance tuning, backup and recovery planning, schema development, and migration execution across platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, and cloud-native database services including AWS RDS and Azure SQL. The Database Administrator 3 develops and maintains technical documentation including configuration baselines, runbooks, and data dictionaries, and contributes to the 14-day operational testing periods following system transitions to validate database stability and integration. The individual also supports FISMA-compliant data security controls and contributes to POA&M remediation activities related to database systems. Qualifications Education and Years of Experience: Candidates must bring a minimum of 6 years of database administration experience in enterprise environments, with demonstrated proficiency in both relational and emerging cloud-native database technologies. Experience in federal environments governed by DHS data security and privacy requirements is strongly preferred. All candidates must be U.S. citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents capable of obtaining a TSA fitness determination, and must be available to support after-hours maintenance and deployment activities as required by TSA's operational tempo.
