Application Window Open date: April 6, 2026 Next review date: Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Tuesday, Jun 30, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is seeking applicants for a full-time postdoctoral position. The candidate will conduct research on the human antibody and B cell response to H. Pylori infection and rational vaccine design of H. Pylori and malaria vaccines. Ideal candidates will be experienced in human and or mouse B cell biology and use of the following approaches including high-parameter flow cytometry, single-cell RNA sequencing, B cell culture, genetic modification of human/mouse B cells, CRISPR/cas9, sterile technique for mammalian tissue culture with BSL-2+ practices, and ELISA/ELI spot. Bioinformatics knowledge is preferred but is not required. Candidate must be open to learning systems immunology and human antibody approaches including systems serology, antibody cloning and purification, and BLI/SPR binding assays. The candidate should be comfortable working with BSL2+ biospecimens, including cells, plasma, gastric fluid, stool, gastric biopsies, and saliva, from patients. A Ph.D. is required. Experience with human/mouse B cell biology, flow cytometry, and single cell RNA-sequencing, sterile technique for mammalian tissue culture with BSL-2+ practices, and ELISA/ELI spot is required, as well as an interest in learning antibody immunology and working on clinically-focused basic immunology and vaccinology. Preferred qualifications
