IES Residential is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Electrical Estimator to join our team in Richmond, Texas. What You Bring: Basic knowledge of electrical systems and installation methods (education or field experience). Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Willingness to learn and grow in the estimating field. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). High school diploma or equivalent required. Degree or coursework in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is a plus. Internship, trade school, or electrical field experience is a plus. Multi-family construction experience is a plus, but not required. Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 0-2 Specific Qualifications What You'll Do: Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects, including multi-family developments. Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to understand scope. Support senior estimators with data gathering and project analysis. Request and track pricing from vendors and subcontractors. Help prepare bid packages, proposals, and supporting documentation. Maintain organized records of estimates and project files. Learn to analyze historical data and market trends. Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure project alignment. Work Environment: Full-time, in-office role in Richmond, TX. Collaborative team environment with daily interaction across departments. Fast-paced setting with multiple deadlines and priorities. Primarily desk-based work using computers and standard office equipment. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
