The Gioeli Lab in the Department of Urology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking applicants for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our collaborative and highly productive research team. The Gioeli Labis a translational cancer biology lab focused on the molecular mechanisms driving prostate cancer progression and therapeutic resistance. Our research spans three interconnected programs:
We maintain active collaborations with clinician-scientists, and bioengineers, structural biologists, and our lab is embedded within UVA's NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. This is a full-time, 12-month appointment renewable for up to four additional one-year terms, contingent on satisfactory performance and funding availability. The position offers mentored research training under Dr. Daniel Gioeli with full support for publication of original research and career development toward an independent academic or research position. Per UVA policy, postdoctoral appointments are generally limited to individuals who received their doctoral degree within the past five years. Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications Education: Doctoral degree in related field. Physical Demands: This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. Preferred Qualifications
