Electronics Tech Maintenance I - Lawton - IHS

JOB SUMMARY:

For Electronics Technician Maintenance I services. The primary responsibility of the technician would be to assist the Biomedical Dept. to maintain, install, and test medical equipment throughout the Lawton Service Unit. Once contractor is competent and confidence with maintaining, installing and testing medical equipment, they will complete tasks alone .The position is SCA. The shift is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Assist with the preventative maintenance and repairs to Medical Equipment
• Assist in conducting inspections of recently delivered and existing medical equipment.
• Keeps medical equipment history documentation per LSU medical equipment management policies and Joint Commission Requirements.
• Ensuring patient safety by properly labeling inspected and defective equipment.
• Assist experienced biomed technicians during call-backs of equipment outages and projects. Once contractor is competent working and troubleshooting medical equipment, they will participant in the coverage rotation.
• Shall take training classes important to biomedical equipment.
• Shall be under close oversight of the Facility Dept.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3+ years of practical experience servicing medical equipment or working on similarly complicated electronic devices
