ABOUT THE ROLE

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to business leaders and local management, aligning human resources strategies and initiatives with organizational goals. This role works closely with leadership to enhance employee management, improve organizational performance, and ensure that HR practices are integrated into day-to-day operations. The HRBP is responsible for providing support to different US entities within MYR Group.

Essential Functions

  • Manage employee relations issues, mediate conflicts, and support managers in resolving employee concerns
  • Advise on disciplinary and performance issues while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards
  • Support organizational change efforts, helping to drive transformation and ensure successful employee adoption of new initiatives
  • Lead the implementation of HR programs, policies, and initiatives that promote employee engagement, retention, and productivity
  • Analyze employee surveys, feedback, and other data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for improving workplace culture
  • Act as a liaison between designated business units and the corporate HR Department
  • Provide guidance to managers and supervisors regarding labor and employment laws, industry regulations, and internal policies
  • Maintain awareness of trends and best practices in HR management to mitigate potential legal and operational risks
  • Support in-house talent acquisition with internal promotions
  • Coach and guide managers and employees on the performance management process
  • Assist with the rollout of training and development initiatives
  • Participate in regular team meetings (virtual and in-person)
  • Other duties as assigned

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of human resources experience; preferably in the construction or utilities industry
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • HR Certification preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Proficiency in JD Edwards (HRIS) highly preferred
  • Proficiency in iCIMS and Power BI highly preferred
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all organizational levels
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex HR issues and make data-driven decisions
  • Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and labor relations
  • Customer service focused
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office applications

WHAT WE OFFER

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary $95,000-$105,000 / year
    • Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
  • Two days per week remote work option for non-field roles depending on position and performance.
