Under direct supervision of Shuttle Supervisors, the Principal Automotive Equipment Operator or Shuttle Driver will operate a variety of passenger shuttle buses throughout the City and County of San Francisco. The primary purpose of the position is to safely transport staff, faculty, and students who are required to travel between campus sites to fulfill their work and school related obligations. The drivers also support patient transportation to various UCSF clinical facilities on regular shuttles or on-demand Jitney service. *NOTE: This is 100% Full-time role. Department Description: The Department of Transportation Services at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) provides essential transit, parking, and alternate commuter services that impact benefit nearly every member of the UCSF community, including faculty, staff, trainees, students, patients, and visitors. The drivers also support patient transportation to various UCSF clinical facilities on regular shuttles or on-demand Jitney service. Required qualifications: One year experience in the operation of commercial automotive equipment or an equivalent combination of education and experience Current Commercial Class B Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement, Air Brakes Endorsement and medical certification Valid California Department of Motor Vehicles Driver's License and an excellent driving record required with no license restrictions other than for corrective lenses. Ability to read, write and perform arithmetic calculations Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
