Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a back-up to the reception area by answering phones, triaging patient staff and community requests and assisting with walk-in inquiries. Assist with training and delegating patient requests to office volunteers. Assist with order supplies and maintaining department supply.
  • Assist in maintaining flow of paperwork and insure files are complete for each volunteer according to TJC, HIPAA, Infection Control, Accident and Liability and Occupational Health standards
  • Assist with collecting and maintaining data for statistical reports
  • Entering volunteer data in the volunteer data base and printing reports as needed
  • Maintain and organize all work spaces in Volunteer Office especially in the storage area and front reception area
  • Assist with special projects and events

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years college or equivalent
  • Six months office/clerical experience or equivalent training
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of standard computer programs, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Detail oriented and basic organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a hospital setting with emphasis on working with volunteers
