This opening is a graveyard position: 9:00 pm to 5:30 am with Wednesday/Thursday days off.

Essential Duties Responsibilities:



  • Laboratory testing to meet standards set forth in the PMO and in Standard Methods for the Examination of Dairy Products.
  • Pulling, logging, and testing finished products and processing samples at required intervals.
  • Data entry and report generation utilizing all lab equipment and software.
  • Audit CIP chemical concentrations and ensure compliance to company specifications.
  • Must be able to prepare media and other lab controls.
  • Operate autoclave to sterilize plates and equipment as needed while ensuring sterility tests are accurate.
  • Assist in all lab equipment PMs.
  • Tracking enzyme and vitamin usage utilizing various logs.
  • Testing of all incoming raw milk including flavor, antibiotic testing, DMC, DMSCC and cryoscope.
  • Responsible for the daily cleanup and review of racking systems in the incubators and cooler to set up for shelf life testing.
  • Participate in environmental testing in and around plant that including : air plating, water sampling, etc.
  • Verifies that plant equipment meets sanitation requirements prior to start up.
  • Conducts daily audits of the plant for sanitation and GMP compliance; follows through on noted deviations.
  • Physically evaluates all end-of-code product including flavor, body, and carton and bottle analyses.
  • Physically evaluates all in-process and finished product samples including flavor, body and carton/bottle analyses.
  • Upholds quality, safety and cleanliness standards throughout the facility.


Education and Experience:



  • BS in Food Science or related field
  • Knowledge of food microbiology, chemistry, dairy standards and sanitation
  • Intermediate Computer Skills including Word and Excel
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good decision making skills
  • Ability to work well with others or alone
  • Ability to follow all Good Manufacturing Practices
