Location: Remote, NY.
Employment Type: Temp (6 Months)

Schedule: 40 Hours/Week 1st Shift
About the Opportunity:
  • Act as a liaison to gather and verify information required for loan submission for Closing Disclosure (CD) issuance.
  • Ensure accuracy of all data submitted for CD issuance, including homeowner details, taxes, fees, payoffs, and third-party invoices.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet target closing dates through effective time management and pipeline tracking.
  • Monitor loan pipelines and support timely progression toward closing.

What You'll Do:
  • Assign pipeline reports to title reviewers, review reports, and manage the title review queue.
  • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders involved in the closing process, including customers, brokers, settlement agents, loan officers, and internal departments.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external organizations to obtain required closing documentation (e.g., payoffs, subordinations, tax, title, homeowners/flood insurance).
  • Conduct thorough file reviews to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines, including verification of employment and review of all supporting documents.
  • Track and follow up on rate lock expirations and document validity.
  • Review system records to confirm readiness and completeness for CD preparation and issuance.
  • Proactively communicate with settlement agents to collect required fee details and contact information.
  • Monitor and evaluate closing timelines, ensuring deadlines are met and communicating any changes promptly.
  • Adhere to company policies, compliance standards, and operational risk controls.
  • Support internal control standards, including audit readiness and resolution of regulatory issues.
  • Promote a work environment that values diversity and aligns with company brand standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1+ years of combined client Closing experience and customer service experience
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in Closing Disclosure issuance/Complete COC's/Closing packages within Encompass
What Sets You Apart:
  • Associate's Degree
  • Prior Mortgage experience in Mortgage Closing, whether at a Lender, Title Company, or Settlement Agent's office.
  • Solid knowledge of Department software.
  • Knowledge of Product, Investor, and Compliance Requirements.
  • Strong PC skills with knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, and email software.
  • Ability to make sound decisions based on information provided.
  • Versatility and flexibility working within an ever-changing, fast-paced mortgage environment.
  • Ability to adapt to new policies and procedures to improve processes and workflow.
  • Ability to function within time constraints.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize daily workload.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong work ethic, reliable.
