Security Administrator: Help make a difference protecting state-of-the-art capabilities. As a Security Administrator supporting the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Strategic Capabilities Office (OSD/SCO), you will provide day-to-day security support for Unclassified, Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) programs for multi-security level programs to government and industry personnel. The Security Administrator is responsible for security clearance processing, Program Access Requests (PARs), Visit Authorization Requests (VARs), Briefings, Security Education Training and Awareness, SCIF Manager Responsibilities and Document Control. The ideal candidate will be familiar with JADE, DISS, NISS, SC, SIC, CIS, JWICS, Sharepoint, or other comparable systems and security databases. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Receive and review security clearance packages (PSQ, SCI Nominations) for processing.
- Input and process Program Access Requests (PARs).
- Send and receive Visit Authorization Requests for all classification levels (Collateral, SAP, SCI, Non-DoD Classification Levels).
- Maintain and document personnel security accesses, to include databases for collateral, SAP and SCI personnel.
- Conduct indoctrination and debriefings.
- Assist with implementing Security Education Training and Awareness and the Insider Threat Program.
- Responsible for incoming and outgoing document control, to include, database entry, wrapping, receipt, storage, inventory, destruction, disposition, courier requirements, etc.
- Create and track courier cards for government and contractor personnel.
- Assist with visitor processing and escorting for meetings.
- Conduct end-of-day security checks and perform other security administrative functions as requested.
- Provide day-to-day access control management of supported facilities and maintain supported facilities and conference rooms.
- Create and review weekly reports with the Director of Security.
- Establish, update, and develop inclusive administrative office processes and procedures.
- Maintain and follow-up on records for coordination, action or suspense dates.
- Assist with couriering materials within the NCR.
- Maintain good working relationships with internal and external program teams and contracting offices.
- Attend meetings, as needed.
- Advise the customer on recommendations for revising and improving security policies, procedures, and systems.
- Assist with Data Transfers, as needed.
Required skills:
- Must have the ability to work in an extremely fast paced, dynamic environment, effectively interacting with numerous internal and external government and industry partners; Ability to effectively organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), Sharepoint and Adobe.
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills (listening and reading).
- Proactive, highly adaptable customer oriented individual who possesses a high degree of initiative and requires minimal supervision.
- Must have working knowledge of the PARs, SAP NP and briefing Process, SCI Nomination Process, VARs, Document Control and Access Control
- Must be familiar with appropriate ICDs, DOD Manuals/Instructions/Directives, Executive Orders, NIST and other guiding policy documents.
- Must be familiar with JADE, DISS, NISS, SC, SIC, CIS, JWICS, Sharepoint, or any like-databases.
- Must be able to work Mon Fri until 1600 at various SCO work locations within the NCR (Chantilly, Arlington).
Experience / Education:
- Senior SA = Associates degree with at least 6 yrs relevant experience (8 yrs exp in lieu of a degree)
- Mid SA = Associates degree with at least 3 yrs relevant experience (5 yrs exp in lieu of a degree)
- Jr SA = 1 yr relevant experience
Security Clearance:
- Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
- Willing to consent to a Counterintelligence Polygraph.
