Test Engineer

Position Summary:

As a Test Engineer, you will support the U.S. Navy. The position is responsible for developing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining technical tests of Operational Technology (OT) networks and cyber security related systems. Duties may include defining and specifying the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of government software in accordance with approved Systems Engineering Processes.

Required Clearance:

Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:


  • Develop, implement, and oversee execution of unit and software test plans
  • Develop and implement unit tests to verify required functionality of software applications
  • Troubleshoot network and computer hardware and software related issues
  • Train end users on using and maintaining SABER (Situational Awareness, Boundary Enforcement & Response) system
  • Plan and oversee Verification & Validation (V&V) of data models
  • Tracing requirements


Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an Engineering field required
  • 1-5 years of experience in a test environment
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software test suites (e.g., JUnit)
  • Familiar with Linux and Windows environments
  • 35% travel may be required


Physical Demands and Expectations:

  • Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, and standing; frequent periods of prolonged sitting may be required.
  • Ability to speak, read, hear, and write, with or without assistance.
  • Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment
