Position Details: Location: Candidates should be open to working at any of the below mentioned schools we partner with Elgin U-46 School District, which has schools located in Elgin, South Elgin, Bartlett, Streamwood, Hanover Park, Wayne, Hoffman Estates and Carol Stream. Educator Pay Rate: $15-18/hour (based on education and experience) Program Hours: Mon-Fri: 1:45 PM-6:00 PM We are looking for candidates who are available to work all five days for one or both shifts. We cannot accommodate partial shifts at this time. Start Date: Immediate Required: At least 18 years of age High School Diploma or GED At least six months of experience working with children 5-13 years of age in a formal group childcare setting (preferred) You'll drive the mission by: Daily Program Meetings: Each day, review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability. Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring they align with the program's objectives. Organize and lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum; that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages. Leading by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children are enjoying themselves while also meeting program goals. You will achieve this by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management. Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols. These may include documenting attendance, incidents, and other observations. Communication: Effective communication with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
