Overview of the Position: Perform various aspects of warehouse functions including counting, pick, put away, auto packing, shipping, and cycle counts of aviation components for accurate customer order processing. Education / Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Experience with general warehouse equipment forklift, pallet jack, wrap (forklift certification preferred). Equivalent required with three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Perform various aspects of warehouse functions including counting, pick, put away, auto packing, shipping, and cycle counts of aviation components for accurate customer order processing. Accurately interpret customer packaging instructions and specifications by pulling stock and packaging products in a timely manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Process customer orders in an efficient and accurate manner in order to prepare for shipping, while meeting or exceeding departmental goals for production and quality. * Operate material handling equipment, scales, counters, packing, bagging and sealing equipment, computers and mechanized label identification machines. * Inspect product and paperwork to ensure accuracy of customer shipments. * Help to maintain cycle count, inventory spreadsheets, databases and quality charts. * Make appropriate inventory adjustments through our data entry system. * Ensure product is kept neat and in an orderly fashion per 5S methods. * Assist and perform with daily picking, packing, counting of products for shipments. * Use of warehouse equipment may require forklift use and certification. * Maintain warehouse (individual and common areas) housekeeping and adequate stock levels of necessary supplies. * Prepare orders for shipment by packaging to customer specification and requirements indicated on the order ticket using correct ship method codes, and ships customer orders using the proper carrier and method to the correct destination. * Other duties as assigned. Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Capable of working well independently and within attendance guidelines. * Computer and/or Keyboarding skills helpful. * Ability to work occasional overtime. * Knowledge of warehouse/distribution areas of shipping, order filling and material control, AVIATION COMPONENT EXPERIENCE STRONGLY DESIRED * Capable of learning how to operate and maintain packaging machinery * Knowledge of good commercial packaging requirements, government specifications, and bar coding preferred.
