What You Will Do:
GFT is looking for a Project Manager - Facility Condition Assessment! The Project Manager (PM) leads end-to-end execution of large-scale Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) programs, managing multidisciplinary Project Delivery Teams (PDTs) of architects and engineers through field assessments and reporting. The PM translates client scope into actionable work plans, ensures quality and on-time delivery, manages scope/budget, and supports business development and client relationship growth. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Project delivery & leadership
- Drive project execution and day-to-day delivery across multiple concurrent efforts.
- Lead multi-disciplinary PDTs of architects and engineers; assign work, remove roadblocks, and maintain accountability.
- Translate client scope into PDT actions, workplans, schedules, and deliverables.
- Identify, sequence, and schedule project deliverables to support on-time delivery.
- Travel and lead teams on site visits.
Scope, change, schedule, and risk management
- Manage scope to ensure requirements are met; proactively identify scope changes and secure approvals and compensation.
- Maintain clear documentation, decision logs, and change control practices.
- Meet deadlines with short turnaround times while managing competing priorities.
Financial management
- Perform project-level financial management and reporting (budgeting, forecasting, earned value / burn, variance explanations).
- Coordinating with discipline leads to build scopes and fees; lead fee negotiations and provide fee acceptance recommendations to leadership.
Client service & communication
- Establish and nurture strategic business partnerships and customer relationships.
- Demonstrate strong customer service, active listening, and effective written/verbal communication.
- Receive and respond to feedback and conflict constructively; solve problems creatively and pragmatically.
- Work independently and collaboratively, in-person or virtually.
Education | Experience:
What you will bring to our firm:
- 5+ years of relevant experience managing building assessment, facilities, engineering, architecture, asset management, or similar delivery programs.
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of architectural, structural, and MEP building systems sufficient to oversee FCA deliverables.
- Strong project controls fundamentals (scope, schedule, budget, risk, change management).
- Strong communication skills (client-facing), including meeting facilitation and written deliverables.
- Willingness and ability to travel for /military site visits.
What we prefer you bring:
- PMP certification; or professional licensure (PE and/or Registered Architect).
- Prior experience delivering FCA programs and/or managing geographically distributed field teams.
- Experience reviewing FCA reports, condition ratings, and repair/replacement cost opinions.
- Familiarity with standardized FCA frameworks (e.g., UNIFORMAT/ASTM E1557 concepts and Facility Condition Index approaches).
- Strong relationships within /military markets; history of supporting capture/BD activities.
Compensation: The salary range for this role is $135,000-$160,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location. Featured Benefits:
