CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Engineer I to join our Generation and Energy Management Team in Albany, NY or Hartford, CT, where you'll contribute to technically complex projects supporting industrial, manufacturing, and advanced technology environments. This role offers hands-on learning, close collaboration with experienced engineers, and the opportunity to build a strong foundation in energy-focused facility solutions.



What You'll Do:

    Assist in the design, analysis, and implementation of technical solutions supporting generation assets and energy systems within manufacturing and advanced technology facilities
  • Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, specifications, contract documents, and cost estimates for energy management, facility infrastructure, and reliability-focused projects
  • Perform engineering calculations and design tasks in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices for power, energy, and industrial systems
  • Participate in site visits and field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience evaluating operational facilities, equipment, and energy systems


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
  • No experience required; however prior internships and/or relevant coursework are preferred
  • Strong theoretical foundation and familiarity with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team
  • Participation in professional engineering society/organization preferred
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus

Salary Range:

$74,000 - $76,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
