High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience

Position Summary
Responsible for supervisory work in retail food service. Work involves assisting Georgia Center Banquet Manager in planning, execution, and clean up of all banquet and catering functions. Clerical duties will include the assistance in writing scheduling for banquet staff while staying within budgeted guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

* Considerable knowledge of foods and their preparation and of the uses and care of dishes, implements, and kitchen utensils.

* Considerable knowledge of health hazards relating to food preparation and service and of effective precautionary.

* Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparations; service standards; guest relations and etiquette.

* Knowledge of all applicable federal, state, and local health safety regulations.

* Plan work schedules, to assign personnel, and supervise the work of subordinates in a manner conductive to full performance while maintaining morale.

* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and patrons.

* Read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.

* Communicate ideas to employees and respond to routine requests for information.
