Sr. Backend Software Engineer (Scala, AWS)

**Responsibilities:**

* Collaborate within an agile development team to design, develop, and deploy scalable backend software solutions.

* Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and reliable code.

* Develop sophisticated applications utilizing Scala and Java, optimized for performance and efficiency.

* Deploy and manage applications within a cloud-native environment, leveraging advanced cloud services.

**Required Skills:**

* 5+ years of hands-on experience developing with Scala.

* Profound insight into Scala Internals, including Class loading, Memory Management, Concurrency, Futures, and Multithreading.

* Proven experience in building low-latency, high-volume, distributed, scalable, and reliable backend systems.

* Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.

**Preferred Skills:**

* Experience with cloud platforms.

* Familiarity with functional programming libraries such as Cats Effect, Http4s, Fs2, or Akka.

* Experience with the Spring framework.

* Frontend development experience is a plus.
