Production Planner We're hiring a Production Planner to support a smallbatch, highmix manufacturing environment that designs and builds precision fiberoptic test and measurement equipment. This is a great opportunity for a recent supply chain graduate or someone early in their planning career who's hungry to learn, eager to grow, and wants handson exposure in a collaborative manufacturing setting. This role sits at the center of operations - working closely with engineering, purchasing, and the production floor to keep work moving efficiently and on schedule. What You'll Do * Create, schedule, and release work orders to support production priorities * Use an MRP/ERP system (ExactMAX or similar) to manage planning activities * Coordinate with purchasing to ensure material availability * Review and interpret BOMs and routings to support accurate scheduling * Communicate daily with engineering, production, and supply chain teams * Adjust schedules as priorities change in a lowvolume, highmix environment What We're Looking For * Experience with MRP or ERP systems (any system is fine) * Some exposure to production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations * Recent grads with a Supply Chain, Operations, or related degree are highly encouraged to apply * Comfortable working with Bills of Materials (BOMs) * Strong communication skills - able to bridge gaps between teams * Selfstarter who can work independently once trained * Curious, motivated, and eager to learn - culture fit matters Skills & Qualifications * Production planning or scheduling * MRP / ERP systems * BOMs and routings * Schedule planning * Microsoft Excel Nice to Have (Not Required) * Experience in fiber optics, electronics assembly, or precision manufacturing * Familiarity with work order management * Intermediate or strong Excel skills Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Beaverton, OR. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
