Job Description We are seeking an AudioVisual (AV) Design Engineer to play a critical role in the planning, design, and implementation of innovative AV solutions across our organization. This role partners closely with clients, stakeholders, and installation teams to translate business and user needs into scalable, technically sound AV system designs. Key Responsibilities * Collaborate with clients, business partners, and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and understand functional needs * Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to inform AV system design * Design endtoend AV solutions, ensuring reliability, scalability, and alignment with standards * Develop detailed technical documentation, including system drawings, layouts, and specifications * Create and maintain AV programming components, including code modules and touch panel designs * Partner with crossfunctional teams, including IT, facilities, and installation teams, to deliver successful implementations * Perform testing and quality assurance to validate system performance prior to deployment * Troubleshoot and resolve AV system issues during design, testing, and postimplementation * Present and explain AV designs to technical and nontechnical audiences, incorporating feedback as needed * Ensure all designs comply with organizational standards, best practices, and applicable regulations Required Skills * AudioVisual systems design and engineering * Programming and scripting experience * Strong understanding of AV signal flow, networking, and system integration Technical Skills: * AudioVisual technologies * Python * HTML * Lua * CSS (including advanced/variablebased implementations) Experience & Qualifications * 5-10+ years of demonstrated experience in AV system design, engineering, and programming * Proven knowledge of AV technologies and infrastructure across multicampus environments * Experience designing and supporting enterprisescale AV solutions * Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences * Handson programming experience using Lua, Python, HTML, and advanced CSS Experience Level Intermediate Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Milwaukee, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
