The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our expanding Engineering and Design division in Seattle. In this role, you will leverage your expertise building systems to meet customer needs and lead the delivery of high-quality, innovative solutions. You will collaborate closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to drive innovation and ensure project success. Key responsibilities include:

Team Management

  • Identify resource needs to meet project deadlines.

  • Train and mentor project and lead engineers/architects on technical topics.

  • Conduct quarterly goal plan reviews with direct reports.

Design Management

  • Demonstrate all capabilities of Senior Engineer I.

  • Deal with complex, escalated problems in their own area of expertise.

  • Create new/update design process/standards in their area of expertise.

  • Make time to review projects and learn from successes and failures to push into future projects.

  • Think beyond the task at hand to foresee challenges ahead.

  • Provide in depth analysis of problems and provides solutions.

  • Identify technical training needs of junior staff.

  • Support business management processes.

Design

  • Demonstrate all capabilities of Senior Engineer I.

  • Commit to continued professional development.

  • Develop the knowledge and skills of others.

  • Sought out by others in McKinstry and outside for their technical expertise.

Customer Relations

  • Attend design meetings with external customers and stakeholders as needed.

  • Enhance department and company reputation by representing McKinstry in the community through taking a leadership position in leadership in professional industry and/or regulatory groups critical to McC's LOBs

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required or equivalent work experience required.

  • Engineering license required.

  • Fifteen or more (15+) years of experience in engineering or related field preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams.

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit required.

The pay range for this position is $120,510 - $204,900 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
