  1. Summary of Position: (Brief description of overall responsibilities and function)

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide engineering support to production activities to meet AWPC safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets. This position requires good knowledge of the rotorcraft avionic installations as well as the standard aeronautical electrical installation design procedures. Daily duties include, but are not limited to, supporting assembly and fabrication of all AWPC helicopter lines, with problem solving in fit/form/function questions and technical issues coordinating the solution within the LH design dept. Design Engineer is also responsible for drafting or review of electrical installations for helicopter customizations and completions, in compliance with EASA and FAA regulations, using the applicable design tools (Capitol Logic - CATIA V4/V5 - SAP - Kisters).

Main related tasks are:

  • Absolving day-to-day activities of sustaining engineering team accomplishing the goals and objectives established by the Design Engineering Manager
  • Drafting, modifying and releasing technical documentation such as wiring diagrams, interface documents and test procedures.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering by coordinating new electrical design changes to be injected into Production environment.
  • Support Production Engineering in troubleshooting fit/form/functional issues during aircraft build-up.

  1. Qualifications for Position:

A. Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred), or equivalent

B. Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering environment, preferably aerospace.

Combination of education and/or experience which would permit performance of essential
duties and responsibilities.

C. Competencies & Attributes

Problem Solving

To be a highly motivated self starter who has a passion for aerospace engineering.

Communication Ability

Capitol Logic or equivalent wire diagram drafting tool (preferred), Catia V4/V5,

Microsoft Office, SAP

Planning and Organization

Familiarity with FAA electrical systems installations guidance (FAA AC43.13-1A) a plus
