The Production Operator 1 contributes to the safe and efficient operation of production equipment and processes to manufacture and package industrial, medical, and specialty gases, ensuring product quality and a shared commitment to safety regulations.

  • We are looking for you to operate and monitor various production equipment including compressors, pumps, distillation columns, and filling systems.

  • Support cylinder filling and labeling according to established procedures and safety guidelines.

  • Conduct routine quality control checks on finished products, including pressure and leak testing.

  • Monitor process parameters and make adjustments as needed to support consistent production.

  • Identify and resolve minor equipment malfunctions, sharing complex issues with maintenance or supervision for collaborative support.

  • Maintain accurate production records, logs, and documentation.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, including wearing appropriate PPE.

  • Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a supportive and safe working environment.

  • Support general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Assist with inventory management of raw materials and finished products.

  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all tasks.

________________________ Are you a MATCH? Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy cylinders (up to 50 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks.

  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe preferred.

  • Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.

  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate hand tools.

  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.

The hourly base pay range for this position in Washington is $22.00/hr. Please note that the hourly base pay information is a general guideline only. Airgas considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
