What this job involves:

The Communications & Engagement Specialist executes day-to-day communications, employee engagement initiatives, and recognition programs for our aviation account. You'll ensure timely, accurate delivery of communications across multiple channels while helping strengthen account culture and engagement through structured, process-driven communication operations and content management. Will require 5-10% travel as needed.

Day-to-Day tasks will include:

  • Drafting, editing, and distributing communications across email, newsletters, and SharePoint
  • Managing the communications calendar, tracking deadlines, and ensuring timely distribution
  • Creating and formatting announcements, success stories, and case studies
  • Maintaining distribution lists, shared mailboxes, and communication trackers
  • Building PowerPoint presentations including business case decks, Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), and leadership updates
  • Managing and maintaining account SharePoint sites with current, organized content
  • Gathering content, updates, and inputs from sites and stakeholders to maintain centralized story libraries
  • Executing employee engagement and recognition initiatives including campaigns, awards, and surveys
  • Coordinating logistics, communications, and follow-ups for programs and initiatives
  • Maintaining account templates, toolkits, and communication resources aligned with brand standards
  • Supporting governance activities such as MBRs, Town Halls, and Annual Reports
  • Tracking engagement metrics and maintaining reporting trackers and dashboards
  • Coordinating with account teams to gather input and ensure deadlines are met
  • Providing ad hoc support for site requests and meetings through coordination and materials preparation
  • Routing and responding to communication requests in a timely, professional manner
  • Supporting the Communications Manager with meeting preparation, materials, and follow-ups

Desired experience and skills:

  • Experience supporting corporate or internal communications programs
  • Background working in corporate, consulting, or CRE environments
  • Experience with employee engagement or recognition programs
  • Familiarity with aerospace, aviation, defense, or facility management industries
  • Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, CSS, and HTML proficiency a plus

Required experience and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Business, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or related role
  • Demonstrated experience creating and managing communications content across multiple channels
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Technically proficient in PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Collaborative and proactive with ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Execution-focused with responsive approach to meeting deadlines
  • Process-driven with ability to take initiative within established guidelines

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Estimated compensation for this position:

75,000.00 - 90,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
