Job Description




As a Security Officer Campus Patrol Guard in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will also support access control and visitor interactions while delivering strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including building interiors, exterior areas, entry points, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, common areas, and assigned posts for unusual behavior, policy violations, and/or potential hazards, and communicate needed information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Support a professional environment at a government location by assisting with directions, de-escalation when appropriate, and adherence to posted rules and site-specific expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
