Role Overview
Performs production and ware house duties polishing lenses and assembling glasses in a government facility. What You'll Do -Equipment monitoring/prompting, repetitive pulling of lens and frame stock -Mail room sorting and packing of finished eyewear -Responsible for operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner. -Responsible for obtaining all appropriate supplies and equipment (provided) necessary to perform all duties. -General cleaning of work areas and equipment as needed. * Responsible for performing all general duties assigned in manufacturing and producing completed eyewear and * Responsible for maintaining quality standards as determined by the Government Quality Assurance Evaluator. * Responsible for maintaining a safe work area. * Responsible for promoting and maintaining positive lines of communication with various Government personnel while performing all assigned job duties. * Responsible for providing quality customer service. * Responsible for adhering to all policies and procedures as set forth by VersAbility Resources and the U.S. Government Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Experience: Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be able to work well with others and accept challenges. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude. Must be able to lift as much as 50 lbs., independently Work Environment & Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works inside a production warehouse setting. The employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be noisy, depending upon the task at hand. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, travel from one location to another, move lens stock and twist at neck and waist, reach, and kneel. Employees must adhere to federal contract requirements, including maintaining confidentiality and compliance with security protocols.
