As Director, Global Surgical Franchise Communications, you will lead Global Surgical Franchise communications in the Global Franchise Communications team at Alcon. The Global Franchise Communications team is dedicated to supporting the communications around Alcon's Vision Care (including Pharmaceutical) and Surgical Franchises, Global Business & Innovation (GB&I), Research & Development (R&D) and Digital Health team. This includes internal communications engaging Alcon associates and external communications reaching key external stakeholders including media, customers and patients at Fort Worth, TX. In this role a typical day will include:

  • Define, develop and deliver impactful communications strategies and programs in support of commercial excellence and launch preparedness and execution aligned with the strategic goals of the Global Surgical Franchise.

  • Lead communications for global product launch announcements and support regions with robust and accurate PR toolkits for regional application.

  • Identify opportunities to communicate key global Surgical Franchise themes and narratives, arming regions with content to eliminate redundant messaging.

  • Raise awareness about key Surgical business milestones, global data news and other key differentiators for the business.

  • Lead global surgical awareness days/weeks that are relevant for external audiences like customers and their patients.

  • Support Business Development & Licensing (BD&L) communications related to acquisitions/integrations of new technologies or companies.

  • Lead global issues or crisis situations impacting the Global Surgical Franchise protecting brands and reputation, working closely with Corporate Communications, Investor Relations team and Regional Communications to ensure alignment of external communications.

  • Work closely with Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, ESG teams to ensure consistency with Surgical Franchise messaging and narratives.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD+6 yrs)

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand

  • 10 Years of Relevant Experience
