Overview

The Section Manager, Change & Adoption leads the planning and execution of change management and engagement activities that support ETS technology and workforce initiatives. This role ensures employees successfully adopt new tools, skills, and ways of working through clear communications, targeted enablement, and well defined adoption milestones.

Working closely with Enterprise Technology & Security (ETS) leaders, project teams, and learning partners, the Section Manager aligns messaging, training reinforcement, and engagement activities to drive consistent, timely delivery. The role also champions learning and recognition, highlights digital skill achievements, and uses engagement insights and feedback to continuously strengthen change delivery across ETS. This position offers the opportunity to play a central role in strategic decision making, influence talent strategies that enable innovation, and expand leadership impact within a dynamic, forward looking organization.

This position does not provide employment pursuant to the terms of a STEM OPT Training Plan.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute change management strategies and plans aligned to enterprise objectives and ETS priorities
  • Ensure communications and enablement activities are timely, sequenced, and audience appropriate
  • Define adoption goals, stakeholder impacts, and required behavior changes for initiatives of varying complexity
  • Plan and facilitate stakeholder engagement activities, including workshops, focus groups, and feedback sessions
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of change tools, templates, and practices based on lessons learned
  • Equip managers with the tools, messaging, and guidance needed to lead their teams through change
  • Enable leaders with actionable talent insights, dashboards, and guidance to strengthen bench strength, internal mobility and succession pipelines
  • Monitor cultural adoption, engagement and leadership effectiveness related to talent initiatives and proactively identify and mitigate adoption risks
  • Contribute to building internal change capability within ETS to reduce dependency on external support
  • Participate in the planning and execution of ETS events to assist leadership deliver clear, relevant messaging that connects to strategic initiatives
  • Demonstrate a commitment to inclusion and diversity, and foster an environment that engages all employees
  • Ensure adherence to corporate financial policies, internal controls, and audit requirements
  • Lead and develop a team through coaching, performance management, and effective work assignment to drive aligned execution and business outcomes
  • Performs other related tasks and assignments as required

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum 8 years of relevant full time work experience or
  • Master's Degree and a minimum 6 years of relevant full time work experience
Preferred Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Communications, Human Resources Management or relevant field and a minimum 8 years of relevant full time work experience or
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Communications, Human Resources Management or relevant field and a minimum 6 years of relevant full time work experience
Relevant Work Experience
  • Working knowledge of modern IT operating models (e.g., product, platform, Agile, cloud, cyber) and their talent implications, required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering presentations and facilitating engagement forums such as Town Halls, workshops, or leadership sessions, required
  • Supervisory or managerial experience, required
  • Ability to lead cross functional work across operating groups, stakeholders, learning and change teams, preferred
  • Experience developing and executing change plans, including communications, stakeholder engagement, training reinforcement, and adoption activities, preferred
  • Experience supporting large scale technology or business transformation, preferred
  • Experience working in an Information Technology organization, preferred

Additional Physical Demands
  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed
