Description Tecta America East serves the Mid-Atlantic region, including Baltimore, Washington DC, and Virginia. Backed by experienced craftsmen and expert crews, we deliver reliable service and innovative solutions for all roofing needs. We are seeking a Commercial Roofing Estimator for our Jessup MD location. The Commercial Roofing Estimator will be responsible for estimating and bidding projects with a complete and comprehensive review of project plans and specifications. The Estimator is required to secure vendor and subcontractor pricing, communicate and analyze project labor requirements, and developed competitive bid proposals. Job Functions (include): Produces project estimates for commercial roofing, waterproofing, and sheet metal projects. Estimates job costs and submits proposals for review. Tracks submitted bid proposals, provides best and final offers, and negotiates as required to achieve a high project award rate. Reviews and approves proposals and contracts to verify that they do not compromise company policy or exceed intended scope of work. Develop detailed prequalification and technical proposal packages. Gathers and incorporates subcontractor bids into Tecta's bid proposal as applicable for the project. Develop and maintain business relationships to broaden Tecta's bidding pool. Attend trade events, lunch-and-learn seminars, and trade organization meetings to further develop trade industry relationships. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, college degree a plus. Minimum of three (3) years of commercial roofing estimating experiencerequired. Critical skills include planning & organizing; problem identification/resolution, attention to detail, multi-tasking, follow-through, priority setting, and accomplishing tasks in a timely manner. Knowledge of various roof manufacturers' system requirements and assemblies Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required. Prior Project Management experience a plus, but not required. Must have a valid driver's license. Ability to clearly convey concepts, assumptions, and thought patterns used to develop specific estimates and bid letters. Must be able to pass a pre-employment Background Check, Drug Test and be E-Verified. Salary starting at $75,000 and up, dependent upon experience.
