OTE: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 On Target Earnings include all cash components: car allowance, year-end bonus, commission, and base salary. Responsible for assisting Richard Wolf Sales Team in a defined territory with the objective of increasing RWMIC market share for repairs of endoscopic products. The Guardian Service Specialist will work in Sterile Processing, O.R. and other hospital departments with responsibility for inspection, repair (either performing or facilitating) and replacement of damaged instruments and electro-mechanical devices. REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completes daily visits to customers within a defined territory to promote the RWMIC Guardian Repair portfolio, expand the reach of RWMIC and encourage the use of Richard Wolf instruments and repair programs.
- Solicits repair orders from all Richard Wolf customers within a defined territory.
- Inspects broken, dull, or damaged items and facilitates return to RWMIC for repair.
- Responsible for processing, shipping, and tracking of all orders in close cooperation with customer service personnel. May also deliver or arrange delivery for equipment back to customer.
- Stays up to date on repair history, customer specific pricing and discounts available.
- Keeps repairs and replacement expenses within a predetermined budget for the account.
- Works to achieve and exceed the annual service sales quota.
- Schedules and performs preventative maintenance inspection of sets and instruments to ensure proper operation of customer's RWMIC equipment.
- Promotes on-site repair exchange transactions through assigned inventory.
- Partners with Sales Representatives to ensure alignment of all activity within the territory.
- Communicates and demonstrates the impact of deficiencies and inadequate repairs to the customer.
- Trains hospital staff on proper sterile processing procedures as needed.
- Promotes and models RWMIC Core Values in all interactions and responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains understanding of all types of RWMIC products, their applications in surgery, and a thorough knowledge of all repair programs offered under the RWMIC Guardian Repair portfolio and pricing.
- Position requires extensive daily travel within the defined territory.
- Must complete CCSVP or CRCST certification within first year of employment if not already achieved.
- Maintain the highest certification as appropriate based on experience and contact hours. CCSVP or CRCST recertification required throughout employment at intervals designated by the professional association.
- Aware of and complies with the RWMIC Quality Manual and regulations & requirements as they apply to this job type/position.
- Completes all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned by the Guardian Field Service Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong preference for candidates with CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician), CCSVP (Certified Sterile Processing Vendor Partner), or CST (Certified Surgical Technician) certifications.
- Practical experience required. Must have hospital or surgery center experience in a clinical role or in instrument reprocessing.
- Experience in minimally invasive surgery and procedures strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams at all levels.
- Experience with confidentially presenting to groups of varying sizes.
- Excellent PC skills, intermediate level on all MS Office Suite of products.
- Demonstrates aptitude to navigate and utilize web-based programs and phone apps. Examples include Concur, ADP, C4C, SECURE, GHX, Symplr.
- Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize workloads, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work a varying schedule which may include early morning, late evenings and weekends on occasion due to O.R. schedules.
- Must be able to obtain hospital credentialing and maintain credentials for hospital admission.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
- Experience with and understanding of cross-cultural differences and the ability to work within this environment is crucial for successful employment.
