Job Title: Non-Conformity Cell Quality Technician
Location: Plattsburgh, NY
Employment Type: 6-month contract with possible opportunity of extension or permanent hire
Industry: Transportation Manufacturing
Compensation: $28/hour
Schedule: M-F, Day Shift

You will be at the center of quality issue management - investigating defects, securing production lines, and coordinating containment and rework with suppliers and internal teams. You'll manage non-conformity reporting, track key quality metrics, and help ensure production continues with compliant parts. What You'll Do:
  • Investigate and characterize defects in purchased parts and initiate non-conformity reports (NCRs).
  • Secure the production line by identifying, isolating, and blocking non-conforming parts.
  • Coordinate containment, sorting, and rework activities with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Ensure timely re-feeding of compliant parts to the production line to minimize disruptions.
  • Create, manage, and communicate NCRs through ERP systems and the Supplier Quality Portal.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders through daily and weekly operational meetings.
  • Monitor and report key quality KPIs related to non-conformities, containment, and supplier response.
  • Manage supplier follow-up actions and rework to resolve quality issues.
  • Support safety compliance and proper use of manufacturing equipment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the non-conformity management process.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in quality engineering, supplier quality, or non-conformity management
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Non-Conformity Report processes, containment actions, and root-cause documentation
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience utilizing ERP systems and supplier quality portals for inspections and reporting

Additional Information:
  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen

  • Requires a mix of sitting, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and walking
  • Work will be performed in a manufacturing setting
