Discovering your exciting role
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Quality Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products/services meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement quality improvement initiatives, resolve quality-related issues, and drive continuous process improvements throughout the organization.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

* Promote and continuously reinforce a culture where safety and quality are paramount.
* Assist in developing and implementing quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
* Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
* Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance safety, product quality and operational efficiency.
* Assist in developing and maintaining quality documentation, including test procedures and inspection reports.
* Utilize various measuring instruments and equipment to perform incoming, in-process and final product inspections.
* Accurately document and analyze inspection and test results, identifying deviations from standards.
* Calibrate hand tools such as calipers and micrometers, as well as process equipment such as pressure and temperature gages.
* Oversee the control and disposition of all non-conforming material, including purchased material.
* Perform quality audits and assessments to evaluate adherence to procedures.
* Support the analysis of product failures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
* Communicate effectively with production staff, engineering teams, and management regarding quality issues and improvements.
* Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quality tools and methods.
* Train employees in quality standards, processes and procedures.

Physical Requirements

* Sit and work on a computer for potentially long periods of time.
* Standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping and physical presence in production areas.
* Safety glasses, ear protection, steel/composite toed shoes, and other required PPE must be worn in the production areas.
* May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Show your expertise
* High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or vocational training in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
* Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
* Proven experience as a Quality Technician or similar role within manufacturing.
* Quality Technician certification (e.g., ASQ CQI or CQT) is a plus.
* Hands-on experience with metrology and calibration systems.
* Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) is a plus.
* Experience with quality assurance tools and techniques (FMEA, SPC, 8D, etc.) is a plus.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Good organizational and time-management abilities.
* Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.

What can you expect
The work environment characteristics include periodic noise increases when in the manufacturing facility, although the office environment is usually quiet and respectful. Safety glasses and other required safety protection should be worn when out in the manufacturing facility, which may vary depending on the area you are working/visiting.
