Position Title:   Manager, Corporate Strategy

Job Description:

Independently lead strategic workstreams that contribute to Pearson’s long-term business goals. Own and drive a single strategic workstream with limited direction and moderate support. Develop structured approaches to ambiguous problems, conduct high-quality analysis, and deliver insights that inform strategic decisions across the organization. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, manage projects, support and challenge leadership decisions constructively. Develop and test hypotheses to generate insights and recommendations aligned to business priorities. Prioritize work based on potential business impact. Support high-quality output, including slide development and quantitative analysis. Plan work and allocate time and resources effectively. Proactively flag major risks or roadblocks, proposing potential solutions. Manage relationships with multiple mid-level/senior stakeholders. Ensure stakeholder alignment and ownership of workstream outcomes. Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve operational and strategic challenges. Deliver updates in an “answer-first” format, highlighting results and options. Position is fixed location based in Hoboken, NJ office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed. Salary range: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00/year.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business, Management, Engineering (any) or a directly related field plus three (3) years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or a related field. Experience must include:

Three (3) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

-       Advanced Excel proficiency, including financial/operational modeling, pivot tables, scenario analysis, and well as an ability to create and manage large datasets, including cleaning, transforming, and validating data

One (1) year of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

-       Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders

-       Experience developing and delivering executive-ready presentations summarizing strategic

recommendations

-       Experience scoping and managing complex projects with cross-functional teams to resolve operational or strategic challenges

-       Experience leading workstreams and delivering strategic insights independently

-       Experience in corporate strategy or management consulting within the education and EdTech sectors
