Undergraduate Admissions:

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions supports the university in meeting its strategic enrollment goals and fulfilling the UCF Strategic Plan. It is responsible for coordinating the identification, recruitment, admission and enrollment of all undergraduate first-time-in-college, transfer, non-degree, dual enrollment, early admission and non-Florida public institution transient students. The office leverages the UCF brand to market, communicate and engage with talented and academically qualified students who will enrich our community and achieve academic and personal excellence.

The Opportunity:

In partnership with internal stakeholders, the Business Data Analyst II manages, develops, and optimizes the Undergraduate Admissions CRM platform (Slate). The role provides functional support for admissions operations, recruitment and marketing initiatives, visit and event management, and institutional communication campaigns. Through strategic system configuration, data analysis, and continuous process improvement, the position enhances the effective use of Slate to support institutional enrollment goals.

UCF is seeking to fill multiple roles. Candidates for this job posting will be considered for additional vacancies in this department.

Responsibilities:

System Design & Development:


  • Design and develop Slate projects, including functional reporting and queries, portals, forms, rules, and data imports/exports to support operations processing, recruitment, visit planning and tracking, and assessment of campus events and communication campaign effectiveness.

  • Create and manage external-facing Slate portals for both internal and external users.

  • Support SIS and third-party system integrations, including Slate/PeopleSoft data integration.


Process Improvement & Innovation:


  • Initiate system innovation efforts by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and drive continuous improvement.

  • Regularly review data, workflows, and user feedback to identify enhancement opportunities and implement solutions that optimize system performance.


Data Integrity, Compliance & Quality Control:


  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with institutional policies through regular quality control checks and data audits.

  • Support recruitment, technology, and operations processes by reviewing and maintaining the quality of Slate and PeopleSoft data, including campaign, mailing, event, and applicant processing data.


Collaboration & Best Practices:

  • Collaborate with campus Slate leads to exchange ideas, share lessons learned, innovate, and adopt best practices in support of ongoing system optimization.

Training & User Support:


  • Conduct ongoing staff training as new Slate features and functionality are introduced or modified.

  • Monitor staff usage of Slate throughout the year to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality standards are maintained.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Admissions experience in a higher education environment, with a strong understanding of recruitment, operations, and communications workflows.

  • At least 2 years of demonstrated experience working with Slate CRM, including development and support of, Slate portals, portal flows, forms, and automated communications, reports, dashboards, and complex queries, event registration and visit management functionality

  • Proven experience supporting or managing data integrations between systems, such as Slate and PeopleSoft

  • Strong background in data management and continuous data analysis, including data validation, quality control, troubleshooting in a production environment, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to support continuous improvement and operational efficiency through system optimization and datadriven decision making.


The most successful candidates may possess the following qualities:


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes and report on project progress

  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.

  • Experience collaborating with crossfunctional stakeholders to enhance CRM functionality and adoption.

  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $64,518- $73,000. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
