The Floor Machine Operator plays a critical role in maintaining safe, clean, and professional environments across government-contracted facilities. This position ensures that corridor floors and common areas are properly maintained using specialized equipment while upholding high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

What You Will Do



  • Operate and maintain floor care equipment including scrubbers, burnishers, and floor finish applicators.


  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all equipment in accordance with technical manuals and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).


  • Clean and maintain hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevator banks, stairways, locker rooms, and other assigned areas.


  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and polish floors using both manual and powered equipment.


  • Remove trash, debris, and other refuse from work areas.


  • Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, and equipment.


  • Polish metal fixtures and trimmings.


  • Wash windows, door panels, and sills.


  • Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays.


  • Replenish restroom and facility supplies.


  • Follow all safety standards and guidelines when using equipment and performing tasks.


  • Maintain a positive team attitude and deliver high-quality work.


  • Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, strong work ethic, and appropriate appearance.


  • Requisition supplies and equipment from the Supervisor as needed.


  • Train team members on proper equipment use, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance when required.


  • Provide coverage for general cleaning staff as needed.


  • Complete all required paperwork, documentation, and training.


  • Maintain appropriate conduct and demeanor in accordance with company policy.
