What you'll do:

As an Optometrist in this full-time float role, you will rotate between Borel Eye Doctors Optometry and Peninsula Family Optometric Group, providing comprehensive eye examinations, prescribing glasses and contact lenses, and delivering full-scope patient care in modern, technologically advanced practices open Monday through Saturday. You'll work a consistent 40-hour week on a rotating schedule, with alternating weeks; the first week is Monday through Friday (8 hours per day, hours vary by practice), and the following week, four weekdays plus Saturday. You'll be supported by highly trained staff and advanced diagnostic technology, including Optomap and OCT retinal imaging, FDT visual field testing, and auto-refractors. This role allows you to focus on individualized, high-quality care for seven to ten patients per day while enjoying a collaborative practice environment and a competitive benefits package that may include medical insurance, paid time off, production incentives, malpractice coverage, and continuing education support.

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D. including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure

1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills

Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

Working Conditions
