What You Will Do:
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and advancing inbound and outbound sales opportunities. This role acts as the first point of contact for prospective customers and plays a critical role in building a healthy, accurate sales pipeline by ensuring timely follow-up, strong qualification, and high-quality handoff to Sales Executives or Business Development leaders.
The SDR focuses on converting marketing-generated leads into sales-qualified prospects through research, outreach, discovery conversations, and consistent CRM hygiene.
The SDR will support demand development efforts across key BTS solution areas, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Sage Intacct and Trimble Construction One.
Lead Qualification & Outreach
  • Respond promptly to inbound leads from marketing campaigns, webinars, live events, website inquiries, and partner referrals
  • Conduct outbound prospecting via phone, email, and social channels to targeted accounts
  • Qualify leads using defined criteria (e.g., business need, timing, budget, authority)
  • Identify customer challenges and align them to appropriate solutions at a high level
Sales Pipeline Support
  • Schedule discovery calls, product demonstrations, and follow-up meetings for Account Executives or Sales Leaders
  • Maintain accurate lead and activity data within Microsoft Dynamics CRM, ensuring pipeline integrity and visibility
  • Update lead status, last sales activity date, and next steps consistently Collaboration & Enablement
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Practice Leaders to align on target accounts and messaging
  • Coordinate follow-up actions after events, demos, and campaigns
  • Support publisher or partner registration processes when applicable (e.g., deal registrations)
Performance & Metrics
  • Meet or exceed activity-based KPIs such as calls, emails, conversations, meetings set, and qualified leads
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of outreach scripts, templates, and qualification processes
  • Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach that reflects the organization's brand and values
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2-4+ years of experience in sales, business development, customer success, or a related role
  • Proven ability to manage lead qualification and outreach for multiple solutions or offerings simultaneously, adapting messaging and discovery conversations to different buyer needs and industries.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and persistence in a target-driven environment.
  • Comfort with phone-based and virtual outreach
  • Ability to quickly understand business problems and articulate value
  • Ability to handle high-volume outreach and manage multiple prospects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with CRM systems (Dynamics, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in B2B sales, professional services, or technology solutions
  • Familiarity with structured sales qualification methodologies
  • Understanding of ERP, CRM, cloud, or business software ecosystems
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
