LMI is seeking a skilled Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Database Developer to support our DHS customer.

Responsibilities

    Work independently to develop GIS tools and applications, perform complex analyses, and develop multi- layered maps accomplished by using an appropriate combination of tools found in the GIS application suite and other programming environments.

  • Design and implement data conversion procedures and perform software and database quality control.

  • Work closely with the GIS user community to determine specific application requirements and specifications.

  • Perform project planning, requirements analysis, database design and development, and quality assurance and quality control.

  • Support SharePoint development and geospatial integration between Microsoft Power Apps and geospatial system and software.



Qualifications

  • Eight (8) years of experience performing GIS and related development for law enforcement, immigration, and/or border security applications.

    Experience in GIS concepts, computer graphics fundamentals, and relational database fundamentals and concepts is essential.

  • Must have experience in the development of complex analysis and mapping projects.

  • Must be proficient in the coding of software and manipulating digital databases as well as using GIS programming languages, Internet markup languages, and other, pertinent technologies.

  • Must have the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical computer users, both orally and in writing.

  • Desired to have experience with supporting software including SharePoint and Microsoft PowerApps.

  • Education: BS/BA in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science or other related field w/GIS experience.

  • Clearance: Must be able to obtain a DHS Background Investigation
