Description Job Description Our client is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join their Corporate IT Operations Team. The ideal candidate will Have experience performing various technical and customer support duties to ensure the efficient and productive operations of servers, PCs, network, telecommunications, and end user equipment. Day to day breakdown: - 6 weeks of training/onboarding, - then will be #2 network person - they have a ticket system as well so taking some escalations of different levels (2-3) - lead on backups and lead on O365 - Work with the larger group helping with Virtualization as needed ( Nutanix or virtualization as a whole). - Most time on O365, next on networking, then the backups and virtualization depend on what is going on in environment. - Big virtualization project coming up so could be heavily involved in it if that is an interested. - On busy days they may get 8-10 tickets escalated to them, but it isn't their main role, they are a mix of an escalation point and doing project work. - Work will have a really good mix of what they will be doing each day between tickets, maintenance, projects, installations, etc. Skills Windows, Active directory, Windows server, Office 365, virtualization, backup, Storage, Technical support, Imaging, Vmware, Infrastructure, Support, System administrator, Server administrator, Systems engineering, Windows administration, Troubleshooting, Windows 10, Hardware, Desktop, Windows server administration, Hyper-v, Customer service, deployment Top Skills Details Windows,Active directory,Windows server,Office 365,virtualization,backup,Storage,Technical support,Imaging Additional Skills & Qualifications - Manager Likes If they have worked at an MSP. - Asking about ticketing system exp and AD exp. during interview. - This person may also take over their MDM systems at some point. Primary responsibilities include, but aren't limited to: - Understanding and knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications required. - Experience in software installation and upgrades, as well as LAN installation and maintenance required. - Knowledge of Windows 9X, Windows NT 4 Workstation, Windows 2000 Professional, and Windows XP Professional required. - Install, configure, repair, upgrade, and troubleshoot all PC's, servers, printers, network equipment, telecommunications equipment, software, and databases used by the company. - Provides technical support solving hardware and software problems, to all computer users, either in person or remotely. - Administer telephone PBX's, voice mail system, and perform adds, moves, and changes as necessary. - Work with vendors and service providers to troubleshoot and correct equipment or software problems. - Installation and administration of LAN/WAN equipment as well as, VPN, Internet, and firewall connections. - Experience with SonicWall and Cisco Meraki preferred. - Monitors network performance and minimizes downtime. - Configuration and administration of application, file, and network servers, including domain controllers and Microsoft 365 e-mail systems. - Provides recommendations on desktop, laptop, and server configurations. - Administer and maintain backup system, as well as produce and save images as needed. - Virtualization - on VMWare ESX, Microsoft Hyper-V, AHV, or Hyperconverged solution Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Powell, TN.
